 Cost: £30/child“This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.” (Ps. 118:23) CEF camp is an opportunity for children to spend a week in a Christian atmosphere; praying at meal times, learning Bible stories and missionary lessons as well as spending time with Christian leaders who can answer their questions about God. It is also a time to play, to relax and to enjoy being together with other children. Every year children tell us how much they appreciate camp. Here are some of their comments from previous years: ”I came to camp because I knew that I would learn about God here. I learned to be hard working and not be lazy. I learned instead of doubting to trust in God. The quiet times were very useful to me. The songs were wonderful.” (Viorica from Acas) ”I come from a non Christian family. My mother married her third husband and I have 7 brothers and sisters. Since I am the eldest I help my mother with the cooking and raising the younger children. I was glad to come to camp as I was able to relax a little. I loved learning about Jesus. I am so thankful to those who paid so that I could come to camp.” (Loredana from Cladova) “It is the first time that I have ever been to camp. I was so glad to be here. I learned that God hears and answers the prayers of Christians. I want to come in camp again—if it is possible.” (Lida from Iersnic) This year we are praying that God will again work and provide for the camps to take place! Please will you join with us in praying for 2,000 children to be able to attend camp in 2012. You can be part of the answer to prayer by sponsoring a child. £30 will sponsor a child in Romania to attend a week long camp. We believe that they can do that only if they know God’s Word and are living by it. The Bible correspondence Course is an excellent tool for doing just that. There are 81 lessons that help each child to know God’s plan for their life—first in Salvation and then in living for Him. Since the BCC started in 1993, more than 7,000 children have written to tell us that they put their trust in the Saviour. Every day the children write to tell us to pray for them and to help them. It is our privilege to do this. For 16 years this course has been a blessing to many and even after many years, “children” write to us to say thank you: “…I have been doing these courses since I was 16 years of age. Time has passed and I am now 23, but I can assure you that God used these lessons to bring me closer to Him. As I went through the lessons, my steps were directed towards God. The fruit can now be seen in the life that I live for God. You were the ones that contributed to forming my attitude and changing my behaviour. Since I have just come back again to Romania, I want to take the opportunity to thank you for everything. He has been with me and continues to be. I entrust you into His hands…” The children who take this course do not pay for the lessons and we rely on God to provide through His people for the running costs. There is much work to be done but few who are doing it. Praise God for those He does call to serve Him full time and dedicate their energy and complete attention to reaching boys and girls with the Gospel. Praise God too for those who pray for these workers and support them financially so that they can devote their time solely to this calling. Throughout Romania there are thousands of towns and villages without an evangelical witness. There would be enough work for 100 full time evangelists or even more! Each full time worker who serves with CEF means at least 3,000 more children are hearing the Gospel. Not only are children hearing the Gospel but volunteers are being trained and more churches are getting involved in reaching out. Gospel literature is being given out in that area and lives are being changed. Investing in the support of one full time worker is a worthwhile investment for the Kingdom of God! Each worker is responsible to raise His support for salary and ministry expenses. This is usually received from friends, family and local churches. Over the years we have observed that it is possible to raise 40% (€250) of this support from within Romania from the local areas. However most workers struggle to do more than this meaning that the ministry is limited. If the full support (an additional €375) is raised then workers would be able to extend the ministry and be even more effective in reaching children with the Gospel. For this specific project, it is more beneficial if the support would come on a regular basis in partnership with a group of others. For example 10 people giving €37.50 each or 5 people giving €75 would ensure that a local area—together with full time workers is fully supported and optimal for reaching as many children as possible with the Gospel. Total Cost: €1000 per student The Children’s Ministry Leadership Course is a 3 month, intensive training course organised by CEF for Christians who believe that God is calling them to serve Him among children full time. In Romania this course is held once every 3 years (God willing the next one will take place in summer 2012). We praise God for the opportunity to have this course in the Romanian language and for the privilege that it is to train future child evangelists from Romania and the neighbouring country of Republic Moldova. Many students testify that during the CMLC they had an increased burden for reaching children with the Gospel and were amazed at the difference that effective training made in their ministry. Over the past 16 years hundreds of Romanian speaking believers have been trained in direct ministry with children as well as in effectively teaching other adults to evangelise children. The 3 month course is residential and will be held at the CEF training centre in Sibiu. The cost per student includes accommodation, meals, training, course notes and a practical time for one week mid-course. This is a cost of €12 per day. Each student will be asked to give as he is able for his training. However, we are aware that for many believers this cost is more than they will be able to afford. Our burden is that each child in Romania will have the opportunity to hear the Gospel at least once in their lives. We are so aware that this cannot happen unless more believers are trained and commit themselves to serving the Lord in reaching the lost. Our prayer is that God will provide the finances—either from the students themselves or though sponsorship so that this course may take place and more future workers will be able to take the time to study so that they may be “approved unto God”. Many years ago, John Wesley said, “Give me 100 men who hate nothing but sin and love God with all their hearts and I will shake the world for Christ!” May God raise up such workers in our day in Romania!

We claim the promise of God that His Word will not return unto Him void and therefore we continue to confidently distribute the written Word knowing that God is faithful and will accomplish what He pleases. God, by His grace has allowed us to see some of the blessings of the distribution of this booklet over the past 3 years. Hundreds of children (and adults) have asked to learn more about God and His Word by enrolling on the Bible Correspondence Course or www.amecpenet.com Many testimonies have come in to the National Office of those who have appreciated reading and learning more about God. However we are aware that only eternity will tell what all God has done as a result of this booklet. At the beginning of 2011, we received a shipment of 250,000 copies of this quality booklet. Please pray for it’s effective distribution throughout the year: 1. At Easter time—in Easter Clubs and special tract distribution days organised together with young people from around Romania. 2. During the summer time at 5 Day Clubs and specially organised weeks of distribution. 3. Opportunities that arise on a day to day basis for those who seek to share the Gospel through personal evangelism. We estimate that it will cost 2 euro cents (€0.02) per booklet to be distributed. Please pray for these costs as each 2 cents given will mean that one more person will have the opportunity to learn of the Saviour—and God willing put their trust in the King of kings. We believe that this can be done most effectively when born again believers devote themselves to “full-time” ministry and so use their time for the purpose of reaching children and training others to do the same. Each of the ministries have this goal in mind—whether it is distribution of Meet the King booklets, Bible Correspondence Course, Camps or the weekly ministry of the Good News Club. Recently we received a testimony from a girl who had studied the Bible Correspondence Course as a child. She wrote to us to say how thankful she was for the course and as a result she had committed to following the Lord. 7 years later she came across a CEF booklet and decided to write to the wondersurf site (which she said did not exist when she was a child!). At a Christmas Club last year a boy attended who knew already so much from the Bible. When asked how did he know so much, he replied that he had received a tract and enrolled on the Bible Correspondence Course. He had completed all the lessons and learnt much about the Saviour. These testimonies are a great encouragement to us to continue to take the Gospel to “every creature”. A number of projects already exist that deal with each of these ministries individually. However, we believe that there are those who would like to give to “the greatest need” in order that more children hear the Gospel. Please will you pray together with us that the command of the Lord Jesus Christ—to go “to every creature” will be fulfilled here in Romania. Pray for: 1. Opportunities to take the Gospel and open doors in areas that have no evangelical witness. 2. A greater vision of God and a greater burden for the lost. 3. Our desire in CEF of Romania is to invest in the ministry in Albania so that more children can learn about the Saviour. Together we want to be able to send €350. If believers join together giving even a small amount monthly. This total can be reached for the sake of the Gospel going forth. CEF Romania is blessed with a large supply of literature that is available for teaching children. However in Albania there is very little literature available. CEF of Romania will be running a special literature project for Albania during 2011 & 2012.  The continent of Africa is a vast mission field. The opportunities to take the Gospel are many and potential workers are answering the call of God to serve Him full time. However due to the economical situation of many of the countries, it is almost impossible to raise support. The responsibility lies with us to respond to the need. We believe that God has blessed us as a country and has given us the resources enabling us to reach out beyond our borders so that the Lord can continue sending forth workers for His harvest field. Currently there are 38 potential workers ready to reach children with the Gospel (see list). There is a 12 year old girl in one of her Good News Clubs who is always witnessing to her friends as they go home from school. She also invites them to Good News Club. Her friends planned to have her attacked one day after school. They invited her to come to one of their homes to study. As the girl was reading the other girls left the room and young man who was hiding came in and held her down. She shouted, but no one came to help her. She was praying and asking God to help her and the verse Philippians 4:6 came to her mind. While she was struggling with the young man four women who were being chased by thieves rushed into the house where the young girl was so they could hide. The young man freed the girl and she was able to give testimony to the faithfulness of God. Her friends, who planned the attack, came to know Christ as their Saviour. Praise God that He is at work and pray that as a country we will be able to be part of God’s blessing and help our African brothers and sisters to take the Gospel to the children around them. It was a tremendous time of blessing when 100 volunteers came together for one week in order to take the Gospel to boys and girls. God blessed this effort enabling 1,812 children to hear the Gospel and a number of those children to trust the Saviour. The Good News was taken for 5 days in a row to 42 different locations. We were incredibly blessed to work together with local churches and to know that the ministry to those children continued on even after the week was over. This year, the “Good News across Romania” project is going to Bihor. Our prayer is that together with the local churches, volunteers and CEF workers we will be able to take the Gospel to children in 50 locations. Knowing that the Gospel of Christ is the power of God unto Salvation, we want to be faithful in taking this message to as many children as possible in Bihor county and continue to pray that they will believe for Salvation. Each volunteer who takes part in the project is required to be CEF trained. There will be 2 days of further training and fellowship together as well as planning for the week of evangelism. Volunteers will also be responsible for transport costs to and from Bihor and part of the cost of their accommodation costs. The project will cover the following costs: accommodation and meals for all the volunteers (to supplement the part that they pay), travel to and from the 5 Day Clubs, teaching materials and training. Our experience from the project in Sibiu tells us that holding all the Clubs in one week is an extremely effective way to both take the Gospel to many but also to encourage and pray for one another throughout the week. The benefits are tremendous both for the children who attend the Clubs and for the young people who have the privilege of fulfilling the Great Commission. For 2011, we have picked 5 counties that we would like to concentrate our efforts in order to make this goal a reality. They are: Bacau, Botosani, Dambovita, Dolj and Olt. We have a plan as follows: 1. Distribute “Meet the King” booklets in each of the counties together with the local churches. 2. Organise a Teaching Children Effectively level 1 course together with volunteers who would like to maintain contact with the children reached and have a burden to open a Good News Club. 3. Pray that God will raise up potential full time child evangelism workers from these counties to attend the CEF Children’s Ministry Leadership Course in 2012. There is need for much prayer for this project for God’s people to give so that the Gospel can go to children who have not yet heard of the Saviour. Initial costs: 1. Distribution of Meet the King booklets = €600 * 5 = €3,000 2. Training in all 5 counties = €600 * 5 = €3,000 3. CMLC fees for 5 students = €800 * 5 = €4,000 Pray together with us that God will provide and that we all would have the privilege of being involved in the promise of the Lord Jesus Christ when He said, “this Gospel will be preached”.
